What If Nothing Has to Be Different?
What if you don’t HAVE to understand or come to terms with any part of your history to be who you want to be right now and to create what you want to create?
What if other people don’t have to either?
What if no one has to be anything different than exactly who they are for you to decide that you are completely capable, supported, and enough?
Including you.
What if you knew the difference between how nice it feels to be seen vs believing that being seen is required for you to be free?
What if sometimes the need to be seen is actually a choice to look for people to reinforce why you still feel stuck, scared, angry, or alone?
I’m not proposing any of this to be absolute truth. They’re just questions. I’ve been asking them of myself and have discovered some pretty liberating alternatives.
The studio is overflowing with nearly-completed pieces. I’m knee deep in dirty pastels and strong blacks and gentle washes of color.
