Learn intriguing techniques and simple tips as you join me in the process of making miniature cast botanicals relics combining simple techniques and materials you have on hand. As you journey through this course, you’ll collect botanicals or other 3 dimensional objects with texture, lines, and shapes that resonate with you most. Inspired by your collection, you’ll layer these objects in casting medium and then follow up with a plaster form for a beautiful representation of the objects! A quick follow up with paint (and encaustic medium, if you are so inclined) and you’ll have encapsulated the beauty of the moment to enjoy for years to come.
Video course approximately 2 hours in length + very short supply list and a variety of approaches for creating subtlety different paint finishes as simple or complex as you want.

WHAT: a nearly 2 hour long video course that walks you through the creation of multiple cast botanical relics (or any 3 dimensional objects of your choice) from beginning to end using easily accessible materials. Your finished castings can be incorporated into assemblage, statement jewelry, collage, dimensional paintings, and even display beautifully on their own.
No matter what objects you cast and what paint treatments you are drawn to use on your castings, you’ll finish this course having combined simple mediums and methods for maximum textural impact. Display them solo or en masse for rich and interesting mini works of art.
